Elaine Appelbaum

Born to Louis and Nellie Jaffee on December 31, 1935, Elaine grew up surrounded by a loving and extended family in Brooklyn, NY. Her love of family was a constant passion throughout her life.

Married to, and survived by, her life-long love, Alfred J. Appelbaum, on June 9, 1956, in Brooklyn, NY.

Also survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law Martin and Regine Jaffee of Los Angeles, California; by her three beloved daughters, Beth Stomberg, Judith Aparo and Ronda Rockett; her three loving sons-in law, John Stomberg, Joseph Aparo and Sean Rockett; and her seven adored grandchildren, Leyla and Isabel Stomberg; Nathan and Alison Aparo; and Shane, Casey and Barbara Rockett.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday August 24th, 2012 at the Stanetsky Funeral Home at 475 Washington St, Canton, MA.

Burial will take place at the Sharon Memorial Park following the funeral.

Shiva will be held at the home of Sean and Ronda Rockett, 47 Beverly Road, Wellesley, MA following the funeral on Friday until sundown and again on Sunday from 1:00 until sundown. There will be no shiva on Saturday in observation of the Sabbath.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
