George Arthur Small, 91, died April 9, 2015, in Massachusetts. George was born in Butler, PA to Benjamin and Anna Small. He obtained his Phd from the University of Pennsylvania, PA and fought with the U.S. Marine Corps in WWII. Loving father of Michele Kimpton and her husband Andrew, Jennifer Varrone and her husband Michael. He is the adored grandfather of Sylvie, Iain, Michael, Ellie Grace, and Nicholas. Graveside service to be held at West View Cemetery 4720 Perrysville Road, Pittsburgh, PA on Tuesday, April 14 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the ACLU.org or Habitat.org.
