Henry G. Wellins

Henry G. Wellins, age 96, of Needham, Massachusetts, formerly of the Bronx, New York City on Saturday, February 24, 2018. For 73 years the beloved husband of Dossie (Gelman). Devoted father of Ian Wellins and his wife Robin Spencer-Wellins, Bonnie Wellins and her husband John McNamara, and Jo Wellins. Adored grandfather of Joseph McNamara and Matthew Wellins. Served in the United States Army as a surgical technician with the 2nd Auxiliary Surgical Group in North Africa and Italy. Awarded a good conduct medal, four Campaign Stars, and the Purple Heart. 1950 Alumnus of Trinity College, Hartford, CT.

Services will be held at Temple Beth David, 7 Clapboardtree Street, Westwood on Wednesday, February 28 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Beit Olam Cemetery, Wayland.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
