Irene L. Ross Finkle

Irene Lois Finkle of Newton peacefully entered into rest on Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late David; mother of Bernard & Leslie, Harry, James & Susan, Andrew & Beth and the late Paul & his surviving wife Norma. Grandmother of Alec, Stephanie, Tyler, Lyon, Jamie, Justin, Nancy, Sydney, Kyle, Dylan, Emily, Henry and John; great-grandmother of Patrick, Wyatt, Chloe and Will; aunt to many loved nieces and nephews; sister of the late Bernard and Max; devoted sister-in-law and close friend to many from childhood.

She was the head and heart of her family and friends, known as the hostess of Friday nights, Thanksgiving, Passover and many other occasions, formal and informal. She is remembered for her magnificent gardens, her beautiful knitting and her brilliant and fun play at bridge and mah jong. She was a wonderful, loving and generous woman who will be remembered by many.

Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington Street, Canton on Tuesday, February 28 at 2:00pm. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance following the interment until 8:00 p.m. and continuing on Wednesday and Thursday 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at her residence.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her memory to Hadassah or to a charity of your choice.
