Jeffrey Alan Gordon

Jeffrey Allen Gordon, 77, of Cambridge, MA, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2026. He was the son of the late Sidney Gordon and Ruth (Weiner) Gordon.

Jeffrey graduated from MIT in 1971 and later earned his master’s degree from Boston University in 1986. He was exceptionally smart, especially gifted in math, and talented in many areas.

He had a lifelong love of music, especially soft rock from the 1970s. Jeffrey enjoyed playing the guitar, bongos, drums, and harmonica. He also loved staying active by swimming long distances in the early mornings and biking to work no matter the weather. He appreciated vegan cuisine, especially dishes prepared by his daughter‑in‑law.

Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife, Abigail (Philbrik) Gordon, in which he adored endlessly. The two married just 18 days after meeting and shared a devoted life together. He leaves behind his son, Joshua Gordon, and Joshua’s wife, Audrey. Jeffrey was a proud grandfather to Abigail, Joshua, Elijah, Kaleb, Mickayla, and Mark. He is also survived by his sisters, Irene and Carol.

A memorial service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
