Joey Wechsler

“Joey” Saxe of Lincoln, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Joey was born on March 31, 1936 in Cambridge, MA to the late Frances and Myer Saxe. She was a loving wife to her husband Joel Wechsler for 67 years. Beloved mother of Michael Wechsler of Aspen, CO and Karen W. Klein and her husband Carl of Wilton, CT. Nana to granddaughter Jennifer, and grandson Christopher and his wife Graham. She also leaves behind two much loved great grandchildren Lucy and Delilah.

She remained a deeply committed alumnae of Wheaton College, from which she graduated in 1958. As a former teacher in the Weston Public Schools for 26 years, she was well known for her love of children. Second only to that was her love for animals, especially cats and dogs.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 19th at 11:30 am at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline; the service will be livestreamed at the following link: www.levinelive.com/joeywechsler

A reception will follow the service. Burial will be private.
