Laurel (Cutler) Shuman

Laurel (Cutler) Shuman, of Burlington, passed on Friday, November 1, 2024.

For 46 years, she was the beloved wife of Stanley Shuman. She was the loving mother of Emily Peters, Johanna Granada, Lila Neffinger and Alexander Shuman. Adored grandmother of Lana, Blake, Asher, Mona, Dale, Navy and Sonny. Dear sister of Bruce Cutler and Debra Cutler.

Laurel grew up in Roxbury. Later she moved to West Roxbury, then Newton, and worked as a special needs teacher. She finally settled into work alongside her husband in their family’s business. Throughout her life, Laurel had a passion for art and design, which she shared with her children and carried her through to her last days. She will be remembered as a creative and radiant woman and a beloved mother and grandmother.

Graveside services at the American Austrian Cemetery, B St. (off Washington St.), Woburn on Tuesday, November 5 at 11:00am.

Shiva at her late residence immediately following the service through Tuesday evening.
