Leon Liebman was a serial entrepreneur, a mentor, and a man whose greatest joy came from seeing others succeed. Gifted with an intuitive sixth sense for both people and business, he built ventures that were not only successful but deeply human. His business partners and employees often became lifelong friends, bound by mutual respect, loyalty, and shared purpose.
He took genuine pride in mentoring young entrepreneurs, generously offering his time, insight, and encouragement. Teaching and sharing knowledge came naturally to him, and he infused every interaction with optimism, curiosity, and belief in what others could achieve. He was an exceptionally bright man, driven not by ego but by a sincere desire to uplift those around him.
Known for his wonderful sense of humor—occasionally a bit naughty—he brought laughter into every room. His warmth, positivity, and enthusiasm left lasting impressions on friends, colleagues, and strangers alike.
He found great joy in fly fishing and cherished his time spent in Montana. An avid traveler, he loved meeting new people and immersing himself in new cultures. Whatever he pursued, he did so wholly and completely—especially his business ventures and his love of the violin, which reflected both his discipline and his artistic soul.
Above all, he was a devoted husband and father. He deeply loved his wife and two daughters, and would have been over the moon about his grandson. He encouraged his wife and daughters to pursue their passions and interests and supported them unwaveringly with endless positivity, creative ideas, and heartfelt belief in their abilities.
He lived a life dedicated to growth, connection, and generosity of spirit. His legacy lives on through the countless people he inspired, mentored, and loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife Anne Liebman, two daughters, Lisa Liebman and Stina Liebman-Carlson, and by his grandson Grayson Sullivan.
A funeral service will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02445 on Friday January 23, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Following the funeral, the committal service will take place at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt Auburn Street, Cambridge at 12:00 PM.
