Matthew was the son of Orrin and Hannah Levin, and brother to Daniel and his wife, Marjorie.
He was the proud uncle of Rachel Levin and Julie Herzlinger and their families.
Matthew was a friend to many around the world and a beloved companion to Phyllis Tobin.
A man of creativity and genius, Matthew founded the first wholesale grocery store in Massachusetts and built Manhattan Sammy's Delicatessen in Cambridge. In his later years he transported the disabled to and from their day programs with care and sensitivity. He loved good food, fun, animals of all kinds, St. Maarten and Israel.
His passing has left a huge void in his circle of family and friends .
