
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he met in 1997 and later married. Myron was born in Boston on March 11,1932 to the parents of Tillie Shapiro Hoffman & Samuel Hoffman. Myron and his 1st wife Carolyn Kasanof had 2 daughters, Sheryl (John) VanVliet and Stacey Bartlett. Myron has 1 sister Shirley (Gerald) Sowsy. He has 5 grandchildren-Chris, Casey (Nate), Caitlin (Zack), Ashley, & Tyler. Myron has 3 great granddaughters-Bailey, Chelsea, & Morgan. Myron also has Barbara’s son, Jordan (Larissa) and his two Granddaughter’s- Maya & Ava. And Barbara’s brother Tom (Karen) Moser from California.
Myron graduated Chelsea High School in 1950 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University in 1954. Myron after graduation went on to serve in the Korean Conflict in Gelnhausen, Germany from Sept. 1954 to Aug. 1956. Myron worked for Star Market for 11 years as an accountant and National Shoes for 13 years. In his later years, he did accounting for Professional Pharmacy in Wellesley.
Myron was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan; he loved dancing with his wife, going to Ogunquit and traveling to Cancun.
Burial will be on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11am at the Framingham-Natick Jewish Cemetery, 40 Fairview Ave., Natick, MA. Following the graveside service, friends & family are invited back to the Clubhouse at their Quail Run Residence.
A shiva will be observed Saturday evening at their residence at 6:30PM.
