I miss my baby sister Pearl. I didn’t realize that she had passed away on this day in 2014.  My son Jerry, who is my 69 year old caregiver, told me that she passed away a year after my husband Morris, who lived to be 92.  I find it hard to believe, because I spoke to her in her home a couple of weeks ago and she looked  beautiful, Her skin was like velvet. She was always very independent, because she continued to raise her 4 children, after Mickey passed away many years before. I’ll be 98 1/2 years old soon, so my son helped me to reconstruct my ideas. I will always love my beautiful sister.

I will always love my Auntie Pearlie! Uncle Micky and her raised four of the kindest and most responsible children that I have ever known.

I visited your Mom for the last year as a Hospice volunteer.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I had wonderful conversations with her about her singing and bands that she was in.  She loved when I played Ella Fitzgerald for her.  I will miss her and send my condolences to all of you.

We are so sorry to her of the loss of Pearl.  She was a lovely lady and we will miss seeing her at Kennedy family events

Dear Joyce, Andrea, Barry and Michael:  I am so sorry for your loss.  Your mom was a wonderful lady. I have many happy memories of her while I was growing up in Brookline as a teenager with her daughter, and your sister, my very close friend, Joyce.  Joyce and I used to go to each other's houses to visit; and as much as I loved Joyce, I would also love to talk to your mom.  I found her to be very warm and young at heart and interested in us as people, not just as "teenage kids".  I remember thinking back then that even though I was a teenager, she made me feel as if I were an adult, and like I was important.   She was very kind and so patient.  Since that time, I would often cross paths with her over the years at grocery stores, in different shops, and even at the beach once. It was always very coincidental and a bit comical;  we would stop and chat and she would tell me how everyone was doing. She was very proud of her children; and rightfully so.   She was so pleasant.  She was a beautiful lady too.  I know you will miss her greatly.  I believe she is in a better place, and she will not have to suffer.  I am very sad for your loss.  She was blessed for many years with a wonderful life; and a beautiful family.  May she rest peacefully.  Love, Christine Nicastro

                  I don't have to tell you what a special and kind woman your mother was. She was genuinely one of the most selfless people I have ever known. There is a saying: "As long as there is one person on earth who remembers you - it isn't over."
I will miss my dear aunt very much.
