Peter “Pete” Leavitt of Newton Centre on Monday, October 21 at 82 years old following a long battle with cancer. Meteorologist, founder of WSI Corp., Patriots fan and pianist; possessed with endless intellectual curiosity. He was the husband of Miriam “Mimi”, father of Michael Leavitt, Karen Leavitt & her husband Jay Zager, and Lauren Leavitt, and grandfather of Sam Zager and Tad & Max Leavitt. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Wednesday, October 23 at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance at the home of Karen Leavitt & Jay Zager on Wednesday & Thursday from 6-9pm, Friday from 2-5pm and Saturday 6-9pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Peter R.
