Richard Earl Anapolsky, 82, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022. He was born July 15, 1940, in Boston, MA, to Sylvia and Morris Anapolsky, both of blessed memory. He was the beloved husband of Hilary Seidenfrau Anapolsky with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Richard graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. For 20 years, he worked in Procurement at GE Power Generation in Schenectady, NY, and GE R&D Center in Niskayuna, NY. After earning his real estate brokerage license, Richard invested in rental properties as H&R Realty.
Always proud of his Jewish heritage, Richard explored his family history by delving into genealogy and creating an extensive family tree. He served on the Board of Directors of the Daughters of Sarah Jewish Foundation and was a member of B’nai Brith. Carrying on the family tradition of managing the Koretz Cemetery with relatives was very important to him.
Retirement in Delray Beach, FL, led to Richard starting The Boston Club, enjoying technology hobbies, and serving several terms as an elected member of his community’s Board of Directors. Known as ‘’Mr. Fixit,” he loved using his tool collection for construction and restoration projects.
Richard is survived by his wife Hilary; his son Jeffrey Anapolsky (Cynthia) of Houston, TX; daughter Marisa Stone of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Molly and David Anapolsky and Lindsey and Justin Stone; and sister Eleanor Anapolsky.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Ahavas Achim Anshi Koretz Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA, in the Chapel.
