Richard "Dick" A. Michelson

For 58 years the devoted husband of Barbara (Blotner). Beloved father of Eric and his wife Koleen Michelson, Rhonda and her husband Jeffrey Solomon, and Jerold and his wife Ellyn Michelson. Adored grandfather of Amy, Sarah, Jill, Noah, Andrea, Mark, Rachel, Andria, and Janelle. Dear brother of late David Michelson. As a life-long Lexington resident, Dick had three passions, his family, his business and service to his town, He was instrumental in growing his family’s business, Michelson’s Shoes, now run by his sons. Throughout his life he was honored in many ways for his community service, and his most cherished honor received was the White Tricorn Hat, awarded in 1975.

Services at Temple Emunah, 9 Piper Road, Lexington on Sunday, November 26 at 10:30am. Interment at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.

Shiva will take place at the home of Jerold and Ellyn Michelson on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening 7 – 9 pm as well as Monday 2 -4 pm, with services each day at 7:45 pm.

In-lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Lexington Lions Club or Temple Emunah.
