OBITUARY

Dr. Robert "Bob" A. Flashner

IN THE CARE OF

Levine Chapels

Dr. Robert "Bob" A. Flashner son of Hyman and Gertrude Flashner passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 after a life filled with love and family. He leaves his beloved wife Carol (Palatnick) Flashner and his sons David & his wife Jody (Garber), Steven & his wife Kerstin (Bjork), and Cory & his wife Chrissie (Hines) and his grandchildren Max & his wife Jennifer (Marshall), Jason & his fiancée Mary Beth Cordier, Cole, Camren, Charlie and Charlotte. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Rhoda Pinta and all of his nieces and nephews in the Pinta and Iarussi families.

Bob attended Boston University and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. For over 40 years, he was a devoted, caring and dedicated dentist to his many patients. He was proud that his South Shore dental practice often cared for three generations in the same family.

He was a fierce competitor whether it be in tennis, skiing, baseball or golf. He especially enjoyed it when he out drove his golf buddies at Ibis. Bob was always looking for that next hole in one.

Bob was married to the love of his life for 64 years after meeting in Nantasket Beach as teenagers. Their love and partnership served as a model of caring and support for their family and friends. To him, family always came first and he most valued spending time with his beloved wife, children and precious grandchildren in New Hampshire. He was an adoring grandfather, and they will miss his presence in their lives.

Bob and Carol were founding members of Temple Aliyah in Needham where they remain active and took pride in the Temple’s growth and development. The service will take place at Temple Aliyah, 1664 Central Avenue, Needham on Monday, January 31 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private. All attendees must be masked and have proof they are fully vaccinated.
