Stuart Neal Comins

Stuart Neal Comins of Swampscott, MA and Boca Raton, FL, passed away March 15, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1940 to Sydney and Lilyan (nee Hartman) Comins. He grew up in Newton and Swampscott, MA.

Stuart loved to travel, and enjoyed many adventures around the world to Europe, Southeast Asia, and Israel with his wife of over 40 years, Deborah Collier-Comins. For the last 4 years, they have lived year-round in Florida where he enjoyed his regular card and golf games, and Thursday movies and lunch with friends. Some days he did a “triathlon”, which was a day with golf, lunch, and cards. In his early 50’s he had a Harley Davidson motorcycle that he took to Laconia Bike Week and Sturgis. He had a 1931 Model A that he loved taking out for a drives close to home. Stuart always loved dogs; his two Bernedoodles, Boomer and Button, will miss him a lot.

Stuart was a friend to many and kept his life-long friends close to him. He was a generous host to family and friends on holidays and Sunday BBQs. He had a warmth and quiet magnetism that drew people into him.

Stuart is survived by his wife, Deborah Collier-Comins, his children, Michael Comins of Evanston, IL, Jody Comins & Mike Schnur of Framingham, MA and Jami Schultz & Joe Kohen of Natick, MA. He has created wonderful memories for his 6 grandchildren, Benjamin Comins & Lucy Comins, Talia Schnur & Elizabeth Schnur, and Samantha Schultz & Danielle Schultz.

Services for Stuart will be held Tuesday, March 19 at 11AM at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA. Following services, a private interment will be held.
