Dr. Sydell Shaw

Dr. Sydell Shaw, age 88 years, of Dedham, MA. passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Robert B. Baron. Loving mother of Dr. James and Andrea Stein of Wayland, Adored grandmother of Michael and Dr. Brett Stein.

Dr. Shaw received her dental degree from NYU in1953 and was one of the first female Endodontists. She devoted her professional efforts both in private practice and for 40 years of on the faculty at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Asst. Professor in Endodontics and later as an Associate Dean for Pre-Doctoral Admissions. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Yanick Bellevue for the most special care she gave and the caregivers from First Light Home Care.

Funeral Services with be held at noon on Thursday July 5, 2018 in the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA. 02067. The family will receive condolence calls from 4-6pm at NewBridge On The Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Rd. Dedham, MA. 02026.
