Tillie Gold Friedenberg

Tillie (Gold) Friedenberg, 92, a native of Baltimore, MD, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. For 71 years, she was the beloved wife of Morton. Loving mother of Judith Leff of Cambridge and Susan Wachob of San Francisco. Mother-in-law of Stephen Leff and James Wachob. Beloved grandmother of Noah and Benjamin Leff and Gabriel Wachob, and cherished great grandmother of Aliyah and Joshua Wachob, and Ava, Marko, and Emory Leff. Dear sister of Lillian Schimberg of Baltimore. She was a masterful poet, widely published, recognized as the 1997 Senior Poet Laureate of Maryland. She taught Baltimore inner city children the art of writing peace poems. She was also a certified speech pathologist, trained at Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis. Graveside services at the Crawford Street Memorial Park, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at noon. Memorial observance at the home of Judith and Stephen Leff following the internment, until 8:00 PM.
