William "Bill" Morgan

William “Bill” Morgan, of Peabody, formerly long-term resident of Sharon, passed away in his 100th year on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rosalie Morgan née Podvey; together as life-long learners they traveled the world and built a strong, loving, extended Jewish family. Devoted father to Michael Morgan & Sharon Gibson, Ellen & Larry Lodgen, David Morgan & Kelly Soukup, and Marilyn Morgan. Proud Zayde to Marisa Morgan, Ilana & Peter Forbes, Elizabeth Morgan & David Bashein, Robert Morgan & Nicole Roselli, and Sara & Rush Kirubi. Legendary Old Zayde to Ashleigh, Hannah, Alice, Max, Daniel, Milo, and Talia, and two secrets on the way. Dear brother to Marcia & John Shaw. “Uncle Billy” to many nieces and nephews.

Quarterback of the Lathoms at Hecht House in Dorchester, First President of the Young Israel Mattapan Junior Group, Navy Corpsman on the USS Consolation during World War II, President of Temple Israel of Sharon, New England Region United Synagogue, Massachusetts Cemetery Association, and New England Cemetery Association; Executive Vice President of Sharon Memorial Park, Guest Lecturer at Boston University, Volunteer at Moose Hill Audubon and Volunteer of the Year at Hebrew Rehab.

Services on Sunday, October 12 at 10:00am at Temple Israel of Sharon, 125 Pond St., Sharon.
