

William S. Grinker, 83, of Wellesley, formerly of Framingham, on Thursday January 25, 2018. For over 60 years, beloved husband of the late Ilene (Wasserman) Grinker. Loving father of Robin Neff Clebnik and her husband Michael of Newton, and Hilary Musser and her fiancé Dale Kahle of West Palm Beach, FL and the proud grandparent of Hari Nef of New York City, New York, Sabrina Clebnik of Newton, and Cooper Musser of West Palm Beach, FL. Loving brother-in-law of Myron Wasserman of Boca Raton, FL.
Mr. Grinker pursued a lifetime career in the Computer and Communications Technology Industry. He was a founding partner of the American Computer Group and President of the Computer Dealers and Lessors Association. He was very active in many trade associations, from which he received numerous honors and awards, culminating in his induction into the Computer Hall of Fame.
Mr. Grinker was involved in many MIT alumni affairs and served as alumni “President of the Class of 1956”. He and Mrs. Grinker established the “Adolf F. Monosson Prize for Entrepreneurship” at The MIT Sloan School of Management. The prize honors the memory of Mr. Grinker’s longtime business partner and friend, Adolf F. Monosson.
Mr. & Mrs. Grinker pursued a lifetime of exploration and travel. They traversed the globe to all seven continents, 110 foreign countries, and all fifty states. The Grinkers have been generous in their philanthropy for innovative medical research by extraordinary physicians.
Services will be at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Sunday, January 28 at 2:00pm. Following the burial, shiva will be at the home of Robin and Michel Clebnik until 8:00pm.
