William W. Kates, M.D., of Brookline, on July 4, 2025, died at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Judith Kates, adored father to Thomas and Robert Kates, loved father-in-law of Katherine Kates, and cherished grandfather to Eva Kates.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 11:30AM at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA with livestream available using the following link: www.levinelive.com/williamkates
Burial will follow at Zviller Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.
Shiva will take place at Judith’s home in the evenings Monday, July 7, through Thursday, July 10, from 6:00-8:30PM (mincha/ma’ariv at 7:30PM) and in the mornings Tuesday, July 8, through Friday, July 11, from 8:00-11:00AM (shacharit at 8AM) and shacharit on Sunday, July 13 at 8:30AM.
