William “Bill” Needel, of Quincy, MA passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025 at the age of 97, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Rita Needel. Devoted father to his late sons Jay Needel and Scott Needel. The best grandfather in the world to his grandchildren Lisa (Needel) Balzotti and husband Arthur Balzotti, and Stephanie (Needel) Brown and husband Dylan Brown. Amazing great-grandfather to Gavin, Greyson, Elijah, Adelynn and Ainsley. Loving brother of the late Melvin Needel and his wife Marion Needel. Wonderful brother in-law to the late Norman and Harriet Levine. Devoted uncle to Ellen and Michael Vigoda, Robert and Laura Needel, and Joel and Kathy Needel, Larry Levine and the late Cindy Levine.
WWII Army veteran, yard sale king and true friend to all. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 30th at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline. Burial will follow at Bessarabian Society Cemetery, 232 Fuller Street in Everett.
Shiva will be held at his home in Quincy on Sunday following the burial and on Monday March 31st, from 11-2.
