Elfren Droz, 93, of Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY passed away on August 2nd after a valiant battle with heart disease.

Mass will be held at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow at Green Wood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home.

Elfren was born on May 13, 1928 to Francisco Antonio Droz Ortiz and Petra Castro Cruz in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Elfren is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Droz née Cruz Rivera. They married on June 28, 1958 and were married for 55 years until her death.

Elfren is survived by his children Evelyn Droz and Alberto Droz; his sister, Lucy Droz Castro and his brothers Humberto Droz Castro and Edwin Droz Castro; his grandchildren, Amarilys Droz Arroyo, Alberto Droz Arroyo, Robert Arroyo, Diana Arroyo, Adam Arroyo, Olivia Johnson and 8 great grandchildren.
