Frank Mannarino, age 69, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. He leaves behind his life partner Olga Nesi and his siblings: Joe Mannarino, Gina Rusinyak, Richard Mannarino, and Neil Mannarino, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and countless friends and people he counseled and helped throughout his life.
Frank loved his family fiercely and with a tremendous generosity of heart. He constantly strove to perfect his role as the oldest of five siblings and was eager to help in any way he could, whenever he was asked to and often, even when he was not.
To say that Frank was an extraordinary counselor would be a gross understatement. More accurate would be to say that he was effortlessly masterful at the art of emotional healing. Throughout his long career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, he intuitively guided hundreds upon hundreds of adults and young adults on their journeys to well-being. In point of fact, Frank most enjoyed working with kids and was a born natural at it.
In addition to an LCSW, Frank had a Master in Business Administration. In 2009 he opened Emoshuns - a thriving therapy practice in Manhattan specializing in Substance Abuse Counseling, Marriage Counseling, Anger Management, and literally anything else anyone needed to talk about and get advice on. In fact, “Wanna Talk?” was the tag line on his website.
Frank was a fierce protector of the fragile, a gifted story teller, fearless in the face of adversity, generous to a fault, quick with a smile, and certain to entertain. His favorite pastimes were fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was happiest on his motorcycle and anywhere on or near the ocean. He went out on his boat any and every chance he got.
