

Teodorico D'Alessio (Ted) passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his family after a brief and sudden illness at the age of 76. Born on January 1, 1950, in Caserta, Italy, Teodorico lived in Brooklyn, New York.
Ted was born in Marcianise, Italy to Agostino D’Alessio and Rosa Gionti. He came to America at an early age and built a life for himself with his mother and siblings.
He met the love of his life Agnes, on a blind date, married her in 1971 and went on to have three children and two beautiful grandchildren.
He was passionate about sports, specifically the New York Mets, New York Jets, WWE Wrestling, and Boxing. He loved playing cards, horse racing, Tombola, and Lotto. He enjoyed cooking and gardening, but most of all spending time with his family.
His personality included being quick witted, extremely generous and very stubborn but loving. He was known for his loud, boisterous laugh and being the mayor of East 21st Street.
He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes, daughter Jennifer and her husband John, daughter Daniele, son Teddy Jr. and his wife Lucy and grandchildren, Gia and Matteo. He is also survived by his brother Rodolfo (Tony) and his husband David, his sister Marie, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
His strength, humor, and devotion to family will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, on March 17, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 2609 E 19th St, Brooklyn, NY 11235, on March 18, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A Cremation Prayer Service will be held at The Green-Wood Cemetery, 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232, on March 18, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
