It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George Demopoulos, who departed this life on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, in Montreal, Quebec, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and family.
He came to Canada with very little, worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and built a beautiful life. His joie de vivre was contagious, and his legacy lives on through the generations of his family and the values he instilled in all of us.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna, his “Cleopatra”; his daughter Stavroula; his granddaughter Anthi and her husband, Andronikos, and their children, Dionysios and Arianna, his great-grandchildren; his daughter Panayota and her husband, Nick, and their children, Kalista, Michael, and George; and his daughter Erophili and her children, Leandros, Phaedra, and Elektra.
In true Papa George fashion, he asked that this be a celebration of life. No black clothing. A zeibekiko dance, laughter, stories, and togetherness. We will honor his wishes and celebrate him exactly as he wanted.
His body will lie in state on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at:
La Maison Darche Services funéraires
7679 Boul. Taschereau

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at:
