The family of Italo DiPietro are saddened to announce his passing on May 26, 2026 at the age of 93. Born in the Abruzzo region of Italy, he talked fondly of his life on the farm. He immigrated to Montreal in 1950's, where he met Marian and they married. A man of resilience and hard work he trained as a millwright and it became his life long career. His early life in agriculture continued as a passion for gardening and love of nature. He enjoyed many outdoor activities and was happiest in the company of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Marian of 67 years, daughter Norma (Michel), son David (Kim), grandchildren Patrick, Julie (David), Anthony (Steffanie), Joey, great-granddaughter Mia-Kim and many relatives and friends. He is now rejoining his son Michael. Family will receive condolences at Darche Funeral Home, 7679, boul. Taschereau, Brossard, QC J4Y 1A2 on Friday, June 5, 2026 as of 11am followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fondation Hopital Charles-Lemoyne in his memory.
