I had the pleasure  to work with Jim for years at Gerard Roofing.  He was a great story teller and could always put a smile on anyones face.  I was so sorry to hear of his passing and send heartfelt thoughts and prayers to those who loved him, which are many.

It's almost been two weeks since we've heard of your passing and I still wake up every day thinking about you ! 

I wish you knew what a profound effect you had on people. In my mind you were a larger than life presence, kind and always filled with great stories. Any of my and Dick's road trips will not be the same without you telling us where to go, what to see and sending us on some of the scariest roads ever. I was so looking forward to you coming to Arizona so we could take you on some of those trips. But I know you'll be there in my heart ! 



I'll miss you greatly Jim. Coming to Montreal will never be the same without our dinners.  

Violet, my heart is with you always, you have become family to us all. 

Know that he loved you with all his heart as we love you! 

Jimmy, it just doesn't seem real. How can someone so full of life pass away ? You will be dearly missed by your Gerard Roofing family.  We loved your stories. I am so glad you reunited with Violet and had the happiest time of your life in the last 10 years.

Such a great guy who will be missed by everyone who met him. He was loved by 
Violet and her family for the last 10 years and we thank God that they were able to reconnect after so many years.

Violet, 

Laura and I still can’t believe it. Your BeBe and partner gone way too soon. 

When we had suppers with all the cousins we put the girls at one end of the table and the boys at the other end. It always happened that James would always sit next to me and tell his stories ! 

The one thing I will remember about James was the look on his face when Laura gave him his apron with MEAT WHORE on it. 





He loved fishing, making his jams and jellies, and using his smokers to make suppers for you. But I think the one thing he loved most was you !!

We will miss him terribly. 
RIP Cuz !

Violet… my deepest sympathies go out to you.

James… Most of my greatest memories are of you at the lake. Every summer we would spend weeks with you and your family. I think you were 9 years old at that time. But those were some of the best times I have ever had. Your Nana taught me how to swim. Although you spent many years in California, I never forgot how kind and genuine you were. When all the cousins re-united in Montreal. we both cried, as if time had never passed.
