It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luigi Di Paolo, born on February 14, 1949, in Gissi, Italy, who passed away on June 13, 2026, in Candiac, Québec, at the age of 77.
Luigi is survived by his loving wife, Norma; his children, Bianca and Alessio (Anna-Maria); his grandchildren, Emanuel, Juliano, and Olivia; his brother, Hugo; his dear mother, Rosina; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He joins in eternal rest his beloved father, Duilio, and his parents-in-law, Bruno and Fiorenza Schiocchet.
Throughout his life, Luigi touched many hearts with his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family. His passions for gardening, going to the movies, needlepoint, and creative sewing will remain forever in our memories.
The family will receive condolences on June 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at La Maison Darche Services Funéraires, 7679 boul. Taschereau, Brossard, QC, J4Y 1A2.
The funeral service will be held on June 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, located at 145 chemin de Saint-Jean, La Prairie, QC, J5R 2J9.
In lieu of flowers, we are accepting donations in memory. Funds raised will benefit the "JGH Fund for the Memory Clinic" at the Jewish General Hospital and will have a profound impact on the lives of thousands of patients who come through their doors each day. And on the patients tomorrow.
