Aureliano Salinas Gonzalez, age 95, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. Aureliano was born March 26, 1927 to Maria Del Refugio Gonzalez de Salinas † and Aureliano Salinas Saldivar †.
Aureliano was born in Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas on March 26, 1927 to Aureliano Salinas Saldivar and Maria Del Refugio Gonzalez de Salinas. After a successful career with Coca-Cola (Mexico) and in the agricultural industry he retired and became an avid gardener and taught his grandchildren many valuable life lessons. Aureliano enjoyed his retirement to the fullest spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always the jokester, Aureliano always had a joke to tell and would often have joke telling competitions with his sisters. Aureliano will be missed but eternally remembered.
Aureliano is survived by his wife, Maria Zoila Salinas; his son Aureliano Rene Salinas (Luz Elena); his son Oscar Salinas (Maribel); and his daughter Nora Salinas; his father Aureliano Salinas Saldivar †; his grandson Oscar L. Salinas, his grandson Adolfo M. Salinas, his granddaughter N. Alejandra Estupinan, his granddaughter Valerie Salinas, his grandson David Salinas, his grandson Justin Vazquez, his granddaughter Stephanie Salinas, his great granddaughter Aubree M. Salinas and his great grandson Andres Estupinan.
Aureliano was preceded in death by his mother Maria Del Refugio Gonzalez de Salinas †; his brother Rutilio Salinas †; his sister Yolanda Salinas †; his sister Maria Del Refugio Salinas † and his sister Juanita Salinas †.
A visitation for Aureliano will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Peace, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Aureliano Rene Salinas, Oscar Salinas, Oscar L. Salinas, A. Max Salinas, David Salinas, Justin Vazquez, Matthew Lorick, Fernando Elizalde and Guillermo H. Espinoza.
