Donna M. Bosch (Mead), 76 passed March 30, 2026 surrounded by family and friends at her vacation home in Laguna Vista TX. Born April 27, 1949 and raised in the Willmar MN area, Donna lost her mother when she was young, and idolized her older sister Doreen, with her sister Patricia a close second. After graduating Willmar high school in 1967 she followed Pat and moved to Long Beach, California for a short time, where she met her future husband Jim, whom she married in Willmar on June 21, 1969. They moved to the Twin Cities area, where she spent her working years as an accountant.
Donna and Jim retired early, moved out to “the cabin at the lake”, and traveled extensively, both internationally and across the country in search of adventure, as well as good food and wine. Whether traveling by motorcycle, boat, with friends, or with the kids and grandkids, she was an excellent logistician and was always able to go with the flow. She also provided extensive traveling daycare for all of her beloved grandchildren when they were little. She even started baking for them, and developed quite the reputation.
Under her sunny exterior lurked a steely spirit and a work ethic rivaled by none. Demonstrated through the years by assisting Jim in his farming endeavors, attending college and receiving her bachelor’s degree, and managing several rental properties all while working full time and raising two kids. She will be missed by everyone who had the great fortune of knowing her. A celebration of her life will be held at Jim and Donna’s home on Lake Florida Saturday June 27, 2026.
Survived by husband James, daughter Anna Bosch (Mark Smith), son Brian Bosch (Kelly), grandchildren Zachary & Zandra Lipenga, Kody & Logan Bosch, sister Patricia Bosch (Duaine), brother Darold Hamann, and sister-in-law Linda Bosch, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents Selma (Hanson) and Junior Mead, sister Doreen Anderson (Charles), sister-in law Judy Olson (Ronald) and numerous aunts and uncles.
You can honor her memory through donations to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org/) or Cancer Research Institute (https://www.cancerresearch.org/).
