Estefana Rodriguez was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and was always there when she was needed. She was the mother that her children adored. She was loving, but strong and bold when circumstances required her to be. Her morals and strong Pentecostal Christian values were what made her a loved and respected woman. Her favorite pastimes were playing bingo and loteria which is what made her so happy her last few years on this Earth. Her strong faith and trust in GOD was what made her a woman that was admired and loved by so many! Because of the strong spiritual guidance from our beloved mother, we now have peace knowing that she is now resting in a better place along with my beloved father Fidencio Rodriguez. Mamacita, you will ALWAYS be remembered, and you will NEVER be forgotten! I could only imagine how our Lord said to you when he saw you “'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!” Rest in peace sweet, sweet mamacita…. until we meet again……..
Estefana is survived by daughter Maria Flora Reyes; daughter Dora Rodriguez; daughter Irma Perez; son Ricardo Rodriguez; daughter Guadalupe Rodriguez; daughter Maria Rita Rodriguez; son Jose Fernando Rodriguez; daughter Angelica Maria Reyes; daughter Veronica Zuniga; and daughter Olga Cortinas; brother Bartolo Baez Martinez, sister Juana Baez Martinez and sister Margarita Baez Martinez.
Estefana was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Fidencio Rodriguez (†); mother Luciana Martinez (†) and father Celso Valles (†).
She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Estefana will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11: AM, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A burial will occur Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Ricardo Rodriguez, Jose Fernando Rodriguez, Fernando De Leon, Adrian Reyes, Hector Zuniga, Alejandro Hinojosa Jr., Robert Cortinas and Sebastian Zuniga.
