

“Jerry” as he was known was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend. He had a great following by his patients who called him “Doctor Picazo”. Jerry was born March 31, 1954 to Geronimo and Margarita Picazo. He joined the military right out of high school. Jerry had a long and successful military career, retiring with a rank of Captain. After leaving the military, Jerry had a prosperous and fulfilling life as a civilian. Jerry worked as a Physician’s Assistant, at Valley Day and Night Clinic on Boca Chica Blvd. in Brownsville, Texas. Jerry had the pleasure of serving thousands upon thousands of Brownsville residents.
Mr. Picazo is preceded in death by his mother, Margarita B. Picazo; sisters, Linda and Rosa; and his nieces, Ninfa and Shasia.
Geronimo is survived by his loving wife, Ana Picazo; father, Geronimo Picazo; children, Geronimo III, Vincent, Chris, Roman Gabriel, Taylor S., Joseph, Dustin, Emmanuel, and Rachel Renay; brothers, Jose, Eduardo, Miguel, Rolando, Gilberto, and Hector Picazo; sisters, Bea, Judy, Letty, Josie, Sonia, and Veronica; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00p.m. and a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 1:00p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1200 E. Lincoln), followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
