Our beautiful mother went to be with our Lord Jesus peacefully with her daughters by her side. She was an individual that met many challenges fearlessly, with grace, power and divine perseverance. She married a Korean War Veteran; Gloria herself came from a family with a long line of military service tracing back to Mexico, Spain, Portugal, and Prussia. Her dream was to become a marine, but instead majored in Early Childhood Education and taught before she became the wife of Elijio Cervantes Hernandez †. She was her family's pillar of strength who won all of her battles in life through prayer. She had great tenacity and held fast to her faith in her warrior King Jesus Christ. She will be severely missed as a mother, best friend, and sister. The family she leaves behind are at peace that she has now been reunited with her warrior clan that have gone before her. Heaven has gained a fierce prayer warrior and we are happy she is tirelessly now praying for her family. She has now been perfectly self-actualized in spirit, mind and body.
Gloria is survived by daughters Lucia Hernandez, Laura Hernandez and Linda Hernandez.
Sisters Dora Rodriguez, Susie De Priest, and Sylvia Rodriguez Porter and her one and only beloved grandson Jose Hilario Maldonado.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Elijio C. Hernandez †; daughter Lilia Hernandez †; father Carlos Rodriguez † and mother Dolores Cardenas †; sister Alicia Rodriguez †; brother Carlos Rodriguez †;brother Erasmo Rodriguez †;sister Yolanda Rodriguez †; brother Rene Rodriguez † ;brother Joel Rodriguez †; and brother Leonel Rodriguez †.
