Gloria G. Sedillo

September 16, 1930 - July 6, 2025

Gloria G. Sedillo, age 94, of Brownsville, Texas passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. She was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas and later made her home in Los Angeles, California, where she lived most of her life surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Sedillo †, and was a devoted sister to Jose Farias Garcia †, Virginia Garcia Gonzalez †, Frances Garcia Gutierrez †, and Rafael Garcia †.

She is survived by her daughter Maria Alma Flores and her son Richard A. Sedillo. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Edgar E. Flores, Ricco A. Flores, Rosalinda M. Flores, Brittany Marie Sedillo, Elijah Adrian Sedillo, and Joshua Sedillo.

Gloria also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who held her close to their hearts, including Abelardo O. Rivera, Linda G. Bueno, Sergio Gutierrez, Margie Gonzalez, Joe Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Yolanda G. Delgado, Fred Garza, John Garza, Joane Garza, Cindy Bottero, Ralph James Garcia, Gerry Garcia, and Eric Garcia; 9 great grandchildren and 4 great -great -grandchildren.

Gloria's life was rooted in faith, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strength, and endless generosity.

Gloria G. Sedillo will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
