With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Guadalupe Lozano, who entered eternal rest on March 5, 2025, peacefully at her home in San Antonio, TX, surrounded by the love of her family. Guadalupe was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations.
Guadalupe was born on August 26, 1950, in Brownsville, TX, where she spent her early years embracing family, faith, and the values that shaped the remarkable woman she became. From the moment she was born, she faced challenges but always overcame them with unwavering strength and determination. Her resilience was a testament to her faith and her deep love for the Lord and those around her.
No matter the obstacle, she never let it define her — she lived life fully, always putting others before herself and lifting their spirits. She had a rare gift – she knew exactly what to say to make you laugh when your spirits were down, bringing joy and comfort to those around her. Whether through her comforting embrace, her wisdom-filled words, or the traditions she lovingly passed down, she brought strength and warmth to all who knew her.
Guadalupe’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Lozano, and her beloved sons: Robert Alvarez Jr. (wife Yolanda Alvarez), Rudy Alvarez (wife Corina Garza), and Mario Lozano. She was a devoted grandmother to Rebecca Alvarez, Robert Alvarez III (wife Cynthia Alvarez), Crystal Alvarez, Rudy Alvarez Jr., Irene Alvarez, and Randy Alvarez, who will forever carry her love in their hearts. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, including Natalie Alvarez, Sophia Alvarez, and Daniel Alvarez, the children of Robert Alvarez III and Cynthia Alvarez. She is also survived by her siblings: Manuel Vasquez, Abel Vasquez, Maria Vasquez, Pancho Vasquez, and Ana Almaguer.
She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Francisco Vasquez and Jesusa Manuela Aguilar, and her sister, Carmen Vasquez. While we grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, watching over us with the same love she gave in life.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, in our laughter, and in the traditions she lovingly built.
“A mother, a grandmother, a guiding light. Your love remains in the laughter, the stories, and the traditions you have left behind in your legacy.”
