They ultimately became long term residents of Brownsville, Texas, and acquired United States citizenship. Her favorite things do to were cooking, gardening, traveling and dancing. She loved the outdoors, nature, wildlife and dancing to La Santanera group with her husband. She would travel to Tampico, Tamaulipas to some of the dances. She traveled all of Mexico, USA, Italy, Spain, France, Europe, Jerusalem, Amsterdam, Holland and went on multiple cruises through the caribbean with her daughters and grandchildren. She had the biggest heart and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family, including her dog "Lulu". She will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents Nicolas Espinoza Martinez and Julia Mejia Diaz, husband Filiberto Salazar Ochoa, son Filiberto Salazar Jr., siblings; Ricardo Espinoza, Maria Enriqueta Espinoza and Irma Rangel.
She is survived by her daughters Norma Salazar (Robert Jr.) Moore and Sandra Salazar (Eduardo Jr.) Estrada, grandchildren; Sherilynne Moore, Robert Moore III, Ed Filiberto Estrada, Anguly Isabel Salazar and Natalie Sofia Salazar.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert H. Moore Jr., Robert H. Moore III (Bobby), and Mario Estrada.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 2pm - 9pm with a rosary at 7pm in Chapel of Peace. A mass will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10am followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.
