Jesus was an active church member and a loving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with all his family. He will mostly be remembered for our trips from Houston to the Valley. He would constantly call us and ask us what city we were in and would let us know the exact time and miles we needed to arrive to the next city. We will always remember how he always knew the complete way from Houston to the Valley. Secondly, we will always remember how he would pick up the hood of the truck at every stop whenever he would travel. He cared much for his truck. When he arrived to the Valley from Houston, which is 360 miles, he would always change the oil before returning. Mr. Mendez will greatly be missed by all his family and friends.
