Jesus L. Soto

Jesus L. Soto, 86, of Galveston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011. He lived in the Brownsville area before moving to Galveston. He was born in General Teran, N.L. Mexico. Mr. Soto worked in the cotton industry until his retirement at the age of 57.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Rosa Soto; son, Sergio I. Soto; daughters, Aurora Soto and Maria (Chayo) Gutierrez.

He is survived by his sons, Juan M. Soto, Reynaldo (Andreita) Soto of Galveston, Texas; Ramiro (Yolanda) Soto of Hitchcock, Texas; Jesus Soto Jr. and fiancé Drusilla Waters of Texas City, Texas; Jose G. (Roxanne) Soto of LaMarque, Texas; daughter, Graciela S. (Miguel) Rodriguez of Webster, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 4 step great- grandchildren; brother, Felipe Soto; sisters, Maria Vega, Sara Juarez and Francisca Garcia; a dear and devoted friend, Victoriano Gomez.

Survivors also include sons: Jesus A. Soto; Jorge L. Soto and daughter, Norma A. Soto.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Juan M. Soto; Ramiro Soto, Jesus Soto Jr., Jose G. Soto, Reynaldo Soto and Miguel Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers will be Victoriano Gomez and Antonio Juarez

Visitation will be held Monday, March 7 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Chapel service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
