With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jo Ann Treviño, age 56, on Friday, October 3, 2025., leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, deep love, and an unbreakable bond with those she held dear.
Though life brought its challenges and her path often took her away from those she loved most, Jo never stopped loving her children. That love remained constant — unwavering and enduring — until her very last breath. It lived in her heart, in her words, and in every thought she carried with her.
She was a mother in her own way — deeply proud, fiercely protective, and full of hope for her children’s happiness. Her spirit was gentle, her smile unforgettable, and her presence, though not always near, was always felt.
As we remember her, we choose to honor the love she gave, the lessons she left behind, and the memories that will live forever in our hearts. She was imperfect, as we all are, but her love was real — and it was hers to give, fully and freely.
She is survived by her son Jose Angel Treviño; and her daughter Jazlynn Andrea Treviño; her brother Antonio Treviño Jr. and her sister Yolanda Garcia; her cousin Juan Muñoz (Alicia) who carry her memory in their hearts, along with extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Jo was preceded in death by her father Antonio Treviño † and her mother Maria Elena Treviño †; her sister Silvia Rodriguez † and her brother Roberto Treviño †.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the same love she never stopped giving.
A visitation for Jo will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
