

Before his illness, he was a successful entrepreneur and owned and operated his own business valley wide, George’s Electronics Mart Inc. He also worked for Cameron County Collections division as a supervisor. He was also very involved and devoted in the community with St. Mary’s Church, Knights of Columbus, and West Brownsville Lion’s Club. He was also a loyal and devoted veteran serving in the United States Army and National Guard.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Mr. Moreno is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria de la Conception Moreno; and his parents, Gustavo and Sofia Moreno.
Jorge is survived by his children, Jorge Luis (Melinda) Moreno, Judith Ann Moreno, Oscar Rene Moreno, and Mary Lou (Tony Jr.) Weaver; grandchildren, Allen Anthony Moreno, Keanu Matthew Moreno, Kristina Marie Moreno, and Tony Weaver III; and his brothers, Gustavo Moreno Jr., Juan Moreno, and Noe Moreno.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 2:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at Saint Mary, Mother of the Church (1914 Barnard Rd.), followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jorge L. Moreno, Oscar R. Moreno, Tony Weaver Jr., Gustavo Moreno Jr., Juan Moreno, and Noe Moreno.
