Jose is survived by his wife, Servelia R. Garcia; his son Jose Alonso Garcia; his son Eduardo Garcia; his son Adriel Garcia; and his son Javier Garcia.
Jose was preceded in death by his father Juan Mendez Garcia and his mother Cipriana Betancourt; his brother Juan Jasso.
A visitation for Jose will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A Chapel service will occur Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A burial will occur Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
