Manuel Gallegos

He was an avid outdoors man with a great sense of humor who loved to help people.

Manuel is survived by his children Guadalupe Zillinger (David), Consuelo De La Garza (Jose Antonio †), Jose Gallegos Jr. (Maryann), Daniel Gallegos, Marina Gallegos and Dora Marisol Gallegos.

His siblings Gracy Soto (Ramiro), Olga Torres (Eugenio), Ramiro Gallegos (Blanca), Adela Granado (Leopoldo), Guadalupe Gallegos Jr. (Norma), Antonio Gallegos (Maria Elena), Dora Elia Fernandez (Efrain), Rolando Gallegos (Diana), Roberto Gallegos (Maria) and Rogelio Gallegos (Sadie).

His grandchildren Edward Villanueva, Derek Zillinger, Monica Zillinger, Erica De La Garza, Melissa De La Garza, Jessica De La Garza, Jose M. Gallegos III, Amanda Gallegos, Justin W. Gallegos, Jaclyn Gallegos, Fernando Padilla, Elexsys M. Lutgert, Enrique Lesende Jr., Daniel A. Ortiz III, Alexandera G. Ortiz, Amber Gallegos, Dillion Gallegos, Ariana Gallegos and Giselle Gallegos.

His great grandchildren Mariana Cook, Maximiliano Cook, Cruz R. Gallegos, Mariah Gallegos and Fernando Gallegos.

Manuel was preceded in death by his father Jose Guadalupe Gallegos † and his mother Maria Guadalupe Gallegos †; his sister Ofelia Pineda † (Rodrigo).

A visitation for Manuel will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A chapel service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Followed by a burial at 2:00 PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX.
