Margarita Castillo

Margarita was a very loving and caring mother of six and an adoring wife to husband Joel Castillo. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with her illness. Margarita was deeply loved and will greatly be missed by her family, especially her daughters; Letty, Alicia, Patty and Ana, sons David and Joel Jr. and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Margarita is survived by her children David Pineda (Lala), Joel Castillo Jr. (Christy), Martha Leticia Castillo, Alicia Castillo (David), Patricia Castillo and Ana Laura Castillo; her brothers Hector Pineda (Oralia), Enrique Pineda (Diana), her sisters Esperanza Ramirez (Juventino †), Isabel Pineda and Alma Valdez (Josh).

Left to cherish her memory are 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Margarita was preceded in death by her husband Joel Castillo †; her mother Trinidad Z. Pineda †, her father Margarito Pineda †; her brother Jose Valde Pineda †.

A visitation for Margarita will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

A chapel service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are David Pineda, Alicia Castillo, Leticia Castillo, Joel Jr. Castillo, Patricia Castillo and Ana Laura Castillo.
