Maria C. Anzaldua was faithful servant to our Lord and was dedicated to reciting her daily prayers and rosary. She prayed for everyone to ask for courage and strength for all in need. She grew up an only child and helped her parents at their fruit and vegetable stand in Market Square in downtown Brownsville for many years. She attended Incarnate Word Academy and Villa Maria Junior High and High School. She married and had six children. She cared for and doted on grandchildren. She was very proud of being a great grandmother. She loved to garden and took pride in her beautiful roses. Every Sunday, she enjoyed watching football, especially the Cowboys and Texans. She was very creative in crafting before her eyesight started to fail. She loved to converse with everyone, especially her children's friends. She loved to travel with her parents when she was young, and enjoyed going to Disney World later in life. She will be greatly missed and remembered by everyone who met her. Thank you to the loving care of everyone at Amazing Grace Services and Superior Hospice for their care and attention.
A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
