Maria was a devoted wife, a loving matriarch, and a cherished friend to many. She shared a beautiful 67-year marriage with her beloved husband, Carlos Cuevas Jr., a bond that was the heart of her life and family.
Maria lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and love. She had a sparkle in her eyes and a heart big enough to hold generations. Whether she was winning a round of bingo, exploring a new place on her travels, or preparing a delicious meal in her kitchen, Maria brought joy to every room she entered. Her hands were rarely still—she found peace and purpose in knitting, creating cozy gifts that now serve as treasured keepsakes for her family.
She was the soul of every gathering, the secret ingredient in every family recipe, and the warm embrace at the end of every long day. Her love was steady, her advice wise, and her presence a blessing.
Maria leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and grace. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, Maria's love lives on in every stitch, every shared story, and every meal around the family table.
Maria is survived by her spouse, Carlos Cuevas; her children Carlos Cuevas III, Mario Cuevas; and Maria Concepcion Saldana.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
