Mary H Headrick, age 79, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on May 3, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 16, 1943, in Brownsville, Texas, to Eustorgio "Toto" and Elia "Pinky" Garcia.
Mary was a kind, loving, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to her family and faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a Girl Scout, a Varsity Basketball player, a case worker, and a corrections officer. She fought valiantly against stage 4 cancer, a stroke, and another fall and stroke. A devout Catholic, who lived her life according to the teachings of the church, she fought for her life until the end. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her husband, Arval Daniel Headrick, Sr.; her two sons, Arval Daniel Headrick, Jr., and Leonard Headrick; her grandchildren; her sister, Norma Garcia Robeson; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 2:00pm - 12:00am with a rosary at 7:00pm. A continued visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 12:00am - 10:00am followed by a chapel service in Chapel of Peace. The burial will take place at Buena Vista Burial Park at 11:00am.
