Minerva was the embodiment of compassion and strength. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her hands bore the marks of hard work, and her heart bore the light of generosity. Known to all simply as “Ama,” she had a heart as generous as her dinner table, and she made sure no one ever left her home hungry. She fed our bodies, filled our hearts, and taught us that love, when shared freely, can truly nourish the world.
Though our world is dimmer without her, Minerva’s spirit shines on in every act of compassion we offer and every moment we care for one another. Minerva is preceded in death by her parents, Eustolia and Modesto Gonzalez. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Minerva is survived by her devoted husband Jose Cardenas; her daughter Minerva Charles (Raul) and son Felix Barrientos(Shawna); her grandchildren, Jessica Alvarez, Armando Alvarez, Ana Galvan (Raul), Olga Medrano (Anthony), Gabriela Charles (Eric) and Esperanza Barrientos; her great grandchildren, John Paul, Eliseo, Xavier, Elias, Cristian, John Ryan, Raul, Madelynn, Genaro, Alexandria, Miguel, Noemi Eustolia, and Mikah; her great great grandchildren, John Anthony and Hazel.
