I am truly sorry that this message comes to you so late. I had the pleasure of meeting both Mr. & Mrs. Vasquez in the course of my employment. I had the greatest respect for Mr. Vasquez always. He reminded me so much of my own father.  My condolences and love goes out to each any eveyone one of you.  He will be greatly missed by all that had an opportunity to know him.

I am obligated to honor this man for the great things his daughter, Selina, has done to impact my life within the past year. Her talent and love for both education and mathematics have, without a doubt, infected me and inspired me to become a better person. I would be lost and without much direction at the middle of my senior year if it had not been for the confidence and excitement for mathematics your daughter sparked within me. I am proud to call her both student and friend and I hope that remains for years to come. In addition,  her to dedication to both three children and husband in the midst of a busy and surely at times chaotic life is worthy of great admiration. To put it in few words, I am extremely thankful for the way your daughter has shaped my life, character and work ethic...I can only hope to amount to her greatness. Although I never got the chance to meet you Pedro, I can only imagine how great of a man you were and what you accomplished for not only yourself but your children as well. Ultimately, words cannot express the gratitude I have for you and your family as a whole. May God Bless You Pedro.

I want to express my sympathies to the Vasquez family. I had the pleasure of getting to know Mr Vasquez through his son Peter.  Although we didn't see each other on a daily basis, my meetings with him left the impression of a genuinely caring and thoughtful person who had an easy manner about him.  I also  remember his smile, a smile that would clue you in when he was telling a funny story or an anecdote  in his understated way.   I truly enjoyed the  times I had the opportunity to visit with Mr Vasquez when he came to Austin to see his children. My love goes out to his family.

I met Mr. Pedro Vasquez through Selina and only got to visit with him three times. He made an impact on me in how he carried himself. He was a very wise man, and it was obvious he cared for others;
family was very important to him. 

In thinking about the difficult times that he attended schools, I greatly admire him for having achieved being salutatorian of his class. He was a man of honor, pride, and integrity. His wise words and love will be missed.

Pedro Vasquez lived a life full of learning and sharing knowledge. He served others. He lived among family and friends who loved him deeply. He was a father, a husband,  and a grandfather and his life absolutely mattered. ?

May you be guided into the wonderful and loving arms of our Lord.

Prayers of comfort and peace for the Vasquez family.  Pedro Vasquez lived a life full of learning and sharing knowledge. He served others. He lived among family and friends who loved him deeply. He was a father, a husband,  and a grandfather and his life absolutely mattered. ?

Pete and I worked together at he Language Institute of UTB from 1994 through 2004.  He was an excellent and beloved professor and his students loved him.  I remember that he always walked from his home to the University, quite a distance. A kind and good man, always in good spirits. He was a valued member of The Language Institute.  Speaking on behalf of all his former co-workers, he will be missed but always remembered fondly.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
