Obituary of Phyllis Sandra Clipper
Phyllis Sandra Clipper, age 74, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. Phyllis was born December 27, 1947 to Maria Conception Foster † and Clarence Henry Clipper †. Phyllis was a very loving and giving person who would do anything for everyone. Phyllis was a driven professional with an unmatched work ethic and a gardner in her free time. She also loved her family and cats with all her heart. When diagnosed with ovarian cancer in September, Phyllis remained dedicated to her job and optimistic that she would beat this cancer. Phyllis remained brave, even throughout her final weeks. Phyllis is survived by her brother Clarence Henry Clipper Jr. (Mamie), her sister Estefania C. Martinez (Arnold), her sister Dea Cowgill (Mitchell), her brother Lawrence Carson Clipper (Julie), her brother Thomas Fitzgerald Clipper (Eva) and her sister Rosa Lynette Clipper Fleming Stevenson (Michael). Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Clarence Henry Clipper † and her mother Maria Conception Foster †; her brother Vincent Edward Clipper †. She is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Texas Oncology and Valley Regional Medical Center for their constant, attentive treatment. Thank you to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and also to the Women's Relief Society for everything that you have done for Phyllis. Your kindness and generosity have brought comfort during this time of grief. A special thank you to the class of '66 for your kind thoughts and prayers. A visitation for Phyllis will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A church service will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 114 E Price Rd, Brownsville, TX 78520. A burial will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Serving as pallbearers are Clarence H. Clipper, Carlos Martinez, Carlos N. Martinez, Anthony I. Recio, Mitchell Cowgill, Brandon Peters, Samuel H. Martinez and Demietrio R. Recio.
